![]() ![]() MLB The Show 23 sees the series at its most innovative and experimental, with new single-player modes, fine-tuning to its gameplay mechanics, and some major changes to its hallmark multiplayer mode, Diamond Dynasty. Madden NFL and FIFA are typically the targets of this criticism, but one sports franchise that tends to stand apart is MLB The Show, with MLB The Show 23 continuing the series' tradition of genuinely trying to enhance the overall experience year after year. On top of that, heavy-handed monetization practices have made some sports franchises can feel like a leech on gamers' wallets. For one, many gamers decry how they rarely change with each yearly installment, as the only thing that ever seems to really change is a team's roster. If you sink a ton of time into a program, or achieve something significant like WS or Flawless, you should be able to use the cards for a much longer time.Over the last decade, sports games have had a bad reputation for a number of reasons. ![]() I think a lot of these issues could be solved if more cards were core. I used to pretty much just do Ranked, and I’d only do the other modes if there was a specific player I wanted in a program. It also sucks that you can’t really progress as much as you used to just by playing actual baseball. For example, I’d be fine spending a little money to get topps now cards for a MA collection to shortcut the grind. The weird thing is it’s not even pay to pay with all the non-sellable. ![]() I don’t have time for that, especially since when I do have time to play the game, I want to actually play the game, not do moments. Unfortunately getting the current set players requires grinding like it’s a full time job. I agree with everything, and I do like how the new system encourages some diversity and lets the game evolve. This is a decency concern, some people do not deserve to be put on blast because you had a great game. Player IDs/Messages Please do not share an individual's PSN ID without consent.
